This week was considered hell week for me. There are just too many birthdays that need to be celebrated. There is Aiko, Jason, Liz, Vee, and Danny. I hate all you January babies! why do all your birthdays have to be this week?! LOL So the birthday week kicked off with celebrating Liz's and Aiko's birthday on saturday. Dinner was so much fun because it really felt like a reunion with all my Santa Cruz friends. The funniest part of the night was when we tried to go to the movies and when we got there, apparently Century was evacuating pple due to a fire. There is apparently two theories on what happened. 1) a guy was smoking a joint in the theater and it caught on fire. 2) the popcorn machine overheated and exploded. We decided to stick around for another hour at Coldstone before finally going home. Then on Tuesday, I woke up watching Obama being sworn in. When I got to work, I was wondering if the kids were going to watching it too. But when I got there, the office was empty and the school felt really quiet. I figured that everyone was in the auditorium watching the event but I was wrong. Turns out, all the staff was in the cafeteria watching the inauguration and I didn't need to come in since it was staff development day. So since I didn't have work, I went up to Santa Cruz with Liz to celebrate both Jason and her birthday again. We went back to visit all my old roommates and the new ones that were living in our old place. This time, I made dinner for everyone so it save us a bundle of money. It felt just like old times when I would always be making dinner and the guys would be busy playing smash bros. Friday night, went down to Fisherman's Wharf to celebrate Vee's birthday. I could tell she was already sort of buzzed even before dinner started but everyone kept buying her drinks all night. Dinner was fun to hang out with the girls plus watching and listening to all the jokes that were being tossed around about how we were gonna try to make Vee drink until she was under the table was hiliarous. Saturday: went out to dinner with church friends to celebrate Danny's bday. Then we hit the club to celebrate Danny turing 23! The club felt like a high school reunion almost because I saw so many people from Lincoln there. Birthday boy was KO with all the drinks everyone was buying him. I wonder how big is his hangover today?! Today, I am off to celebrate Chinese New Year with my family since I have to be home for dinner. I am super excited for the fat choy soup. Hope everyone's week was as eventful as mine. happy chinese new year!
i can't believe that my first semester at graduate school is almost over. Only 3 more days to go! on the other hand, i have been suffering trying to get all my papers done. 40 pg paper- done! portfolio- done! 10 pg paper- not done ...........i hate it when everything is piling on at the end. my internship is going well. just mostly conflict resolution but there are the cases that just make you do a double take. I'm really looking forward to next semester because that's when i start having my own caseload as a school counselor, so I'm nervous about how I am going to do.
recently, i have started to read manga again. and once again, i am complete addicted!!! just in the past 2 weeks I finished a total of 10 series. it includes hana kimi, mint na bokura, kare first love, spicy pink, random walk, and the list goes on.......which in turn is really bad for my sleeping habits because once i get so absorbed into one, i can't put it down unless the series is really really long. i think for the next one i'm going to start reading inuyasha again since i've always started it but the series wasn't completed until recently. but since it is 500 something chapters i will be waiting until winter break to read it.
3 more days till winter break!!!! i must keep pushing myself to do my paper!!!

update on my cold: i'm still sick. in fact, i think i got worse since i can't sleep anymore due to me being unable to breathe. but i'm drinking lots of cranberry juice to build up my immunity.
